INGREDIENTS
- Texas Toast: Thick cut, garlic texas toast provides the delicious base of the dish.
- Frozen Chicken Tenders: I like using Real Good's frozen chicken tenders in this recipe.
- Marinara Sauce: I used Rao's marinara sauce for this recipe.
- Cheese: Mozzarella cheese provides the cheesy notes of the chicken parmesan.
- Seasonings: Italian seasoning is used in this recipe. Adding crushed red pepper is optional.
HOW TO MAKE CHICKEN PARMESAN TEXAS TOAST

Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the Texas toast packaging.
Cook frozen chicken tenders/nuggets in air fryer as stated on packaging. Once cooked, cut into smaller pieces.
Place frozen texas toast bread on 13x9 pan evenly. Bake for 6 minutes.
Remove toast from oven and then press down in the middle of each toast to create a bowl affect. However, do not press all the way through the toast.
Add a bottom layer of mozzarella cheese.
Next, add layer of marinara sauce. Sprinkle italian seasoning and crushed red pepper on sauce. Then add cooked chicken to toast.

Finally, add an additional layer of marinara sauce, and mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle additional italian seasoning if desired.
Cook for an additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted on top. Can broil on low for 2-3 minutes for extra crisp.
TIPS AND TRICKS
Protein: For this chicken parmesan texas toast recipe, I used Real Good frozen chicken tenders. It can be substituted with rotisserie chicken or another frozen chicken option. All will provide the same delicious taste!
Marinara Sauce: For this recipe, I used Rao's marinara sauce, however any marinara sauce will work. Substitutions can be made for a more budget-friendly option.
Leftovers: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. However, I recommend reheating leftovers in the oven or air fryer for a more crunchy toast. If it is reheated in the microwave, it will likely be softer.
