These Crockpot Cowboy Butter Steak Bites is one of those easy, comfort meals that you can set and forget. Made with beef, potatoes, and delicious seasonings. An easy, slow cooker meal for those busy weeknights with family.
½ stickKerrygold garlic & herb buttercan substitute for regular salted butter
1-2teaspoonKinder's Cowboy Butter Seasoning
½ cup beef broth or bone broth
1 tbsp dijon mustard
½freshly squeezed lemon
1 teaspoonpaprika
1 teaspoonitalian seasoning
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
salt and pepper to taste
1tablespoonworcestershire sauce
½ tsp crushed red peppers
1 tbsp minced garlic
Parmesan Cream Sauce
1tablespoonsalted butter
⅛cupdiced yellow onion optional
½tablespoonminced garlic
1tablespoonall purpose flour
½cupchicken broth
½cuproom temp heavy whipping cream
¼cupfreshly grated parmesan
½teaspoongarlic powder
1teaspoonKinders Cowboy Butter Seasoning
¼teaspooncrushed red pepper
salt & pepper to taste
½lemon squeezed
Instructions
First, in a crockpot, add rinsed potatoes into bottom of slow cooker.
Next, add 1 lb stew meat, seasonings, beef broth, dijon mustard, lemon juice, and worcestershire sauce to crockpot.
Cover and let it cook on low for 4-6 hours. I recommend letting this cook on low versus high, to help the potatoes cook thoroughly and enhance flavors in the dish.
Stir every couple hours to help prevent burning.
Serve with roasted vegetables.
Additional option is adding the parmesan cream sauce over top. This is the same sauce used in the Smothered Cowboy Butter Chicken. However, I halved the recipe for a smaller serving. If you like extra dressing for your recipe, you can do the full amount of the parmesan cream sauce ingredient list.
