EASY ITALIAN SLIDER RECIPE

Whenever I'm craving an easy weeknight dinner that requires minimal effort, these sliders are one of our go-to meals. I make these for dinner and add a side salad, vegetables or french fries for the kids. Occasionally, I'll make these mini sandwiches as an appetizer for game day events as well, and they are always gone in ten minutes! They are easy, affordable and so delicious!

WHY YOU'LL LOVE ITALIAN GRINDER SLIDERS

Perfect for any occasion: I love how versatile these easy italian sliders are because I can make them for dinner for my family, or make them as an appetizer for any party! I love taking these to game day parties, because it is a recipe that everyone ALWAYS loves!

Quick & Easy: This recipe can be prepped and ready to eat in as little as 20 minutes! Minimal prep and cooking time to help save you that extra time in the kitchen. Sliders are always a fun meal to make, because you can customize the ingredients and make them perfect for you!

Delicious: The flavor combinations of this recipe is so fun and flavorful! The sweet rolls add the perfect balance to the salty salami, pepperoni and deli turkey. The grinder salad topping gives that perfect hint of spice and crunch, without being overwhelming. I love adding extra pepperoncinis to the grinder salad topping for the extra zest.

INGREDIENTS

  • Mini Brioche Rolls: The soft, buttery rolls used for this recipe provide the perfect balance to the salty flavors of the deli meats.
  • Colby Jack Cheese: The smooth-melted colby jack cheese is a great overall crowd favorite for these sandwiches.
  • Pepperoni & Salami:The savory salami and pepperoni provide the perfect italian flavors that give it the perfect hint of spicy that really brings these grinder sliders to life!
  • Turkey Breast: A great alternative to ham that provides a delicious smokey flavor. I substitute turkey breast for ham based on family preference, however sliced deli ham is a great option too.
  • Salted Butter: Melted salted butter is the main component of the topping that I add to rolls that really elevated this sandwich to the next level.
  • Seasonings: The seasonings used for the grinder salad topping and on top of the buns are parmesan cheese, garlic powder, italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and parsley.
  • Grinder salad mixture: I use shredded lettuce, mayo, red wine vinegar, pepperoncini, salt, pepper, italian seasoning, garlic powder and parsley for the salad

TIPS AND TRICKS

Substitutions: If you do not have brioche buns available, mini hawaiian rolls or regular mini buns are a great option too!

Cheese: My favorite type of cheese to use for this recipe is colby jack. However, if you do not have any available, you can absolutely substitute with mozzarella cheese, monterrey jack, white or yellow cheddar cheese. I recommend using cheese slices versus shredded cheese. It helps hold the sandwich ingredients together.

Leftovers: If you have any remaining leftovers, it can be stored in the refridgerator for up to 3 days in an airtight sealed container. However, the longer it is set out, the more soggy it gets. So, it may not have the same texture as it would when it is first made.
