INGREDIENTS

  • Chicken Breast: I like to use chicken breast however, you can also use chicken thighs.
  • Cream Cheese: adds a rich and creamy consistency for the dish
  • Sun dried tomatoes: Helps provide the "marry me" flavors of this dish! Make sure you use the sun-dried tomatoes that are kept in oil for rich flavor.
  • Chicken broth: Provides lots of flavor for the recipe. However, if it is unavailable, you can use water with chicken bouillon as well.
  • Parmesan cheese: I love topping the orzo bake with freshly grated parmesan cheese to give it that delicious cheesy flavor.
  • Seasonings: The seasonings used in this recipe include italian seasoning, salt, pepper, onion powder, basil, oregano, crushed red pepper, and garlic powder.

TIPS AND TRICKS

Serving: I love to serve the Crockpot Marry Me Chicken on a toasted sandwich bun with crisp bacon, on top of romaine lettuce, or white rice. A great versatile dinner that can be served different ways.

Cheese: For this recipe, I prefer using freshly grated parmesan cheese, since it will provide a smoother consistency and will melt better. However, preshredded cheese will be good as well.

Leftovers: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
