As a mom, we all know how busy dinner time can be, especially in the summer time! I love utilizing the slow cooker year round, because it makes dinner time so easy and I don't need to turn on my oven. I started making these crockpot marry me chicken sandwiches for my family last summer, and they were a huge hit!

INGREDIENTS
- Chicken Breast: I like to use chicken breast however, you can also use chicken thighs.
- Cream Cheese: adds a rich and creamy consistency for the dish
- Sun dried tomatoes: Helps provide the "marry me" flavors of this dish! Make sure you use the sun-dried tomatoes that are kept in oil for rich flavor.
- Chicken broth: Provides lots of flavor for the recipe. However, if it is unavailable, you can use water with chicken bouillon as well.
- Parmesan cheese: I love topping the orzo bake with freshly grated parmesan cheese to give it that delicious cheesy flavor.
- Seasonings: The seasonings used in this recipe include italian seasoning, salt, pepper, onion powder, basil, oregano, crushed red pepper, and garlic powder.
HOW TO MAKE CROCKPOT MARRY ME CHICKEN



First, add chicken breast, seasonings, chicken broth and sundried tomatoes to slow cooker.
Next, cover with lid and let it cook on high for 2-3 hours, or low for 3-4 hours.
Then, once chicken is cooked, set temperature on slow cooker to warm and shred the chicken.



Next, add 1 block plain cream cheese and combine. Once combined, add grated parmesan cheese.
Stir until well combined.
TIPS AND TRICKS
Serving: I love to serve the Crockpot Marry Me Chicken on a toasted sandwich bun with crisp bacon, on top of romaine lettuce, or white rice. A great versatile dinner that can be served different ways.
Cheese: For this recipe, I prefer using freshly grated parmesan cheese, since it will provide a smoother consistency and will melt better. However, preshredded cheese will be good as well.
Leftovers: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.

Equipment
- 1 Slow Cooker
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs chicken breast
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 block plain cream cheese
- ¾ cup shredded parmesan cheese
- ½ cup chopped sun dried tomatoes
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon crushed red peppers
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 5-6 sandwich buns
- bacon
Instructions
- place chicken in crockpot. add seasonings, chicken broth and sundried tomatoes.
- cover with lid and cook on high for 2-3 hours or 4-5 on low.
- once cooked, remove chicken from crockpot and shred. once shredded place chicken back in crockpot and put temperature setting to warm on crockpot.
- add 1 block cream cheese
- combine cream cheese to chicken and then add ¾ cup grated parmesan cheese
- sandwiches can be made with brioche buns and add bacon for extra flavor, or to salads
