EASY CREAMY MARRY ME SAUSAGE GNOCCHI

I always love making an easy, one-pan meal for those busy weeknights with my family. Made with savory chicken sausage, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh spinach, parmesan cheese, and a creamy sauce, this Tuscan-inspired dinner is packed with flavor and comes together in just one pan. Its so simple to make, and one of those dinners I love to keep on the rotation when I'm craving a good, comfort meal.

If you love this recipe, I highly recommend trying my Marry Me Chicken Orzo Casserole.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS ONE PAN MARRY ME SAUSAGE GNOCCHI

Quick & Easy: This easy, one pan meal takes less than 30 minutes to make. Which makes it a delicious option for those busy weeknights.

Family-Friendly: The flavors of the sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, gnocchi, and chicken sausage is one of our family favorites. This dish is mild enough for kids to enjoy, but you can easily add extra heat with crushed red pepper flakes.

One Pan: All the ingredients are made in one pan, which makes it so simple to make! Plus, it means less dishes to clean up after, which is always a win.

INGREDIENTS

  • Chicken Sausage: Aidells Italian Style Chicken Sausage adds savory, seasoned flavor to the dish while providing a leaner protein option. Its blend of Italian herbs and spices pairs perfectly with the creamy sauce.
  • Gnocchi: Potato gnocchi serves as the hearty base of this recipe.
  • Sun-Dried Tomatoes: Sun-dried tomatoes bring a slightly sweet, tangy flavor and concentrated tomato richness that adds depth to every bite.
  • Chicken Broth: Chicken broth creates the base of the sauce.
  • Cream: Heavy cream gives the sauce its rich, velvety texture and helps balance the bold flavors from the sausage, tomatoes, and seasonings.
  • Cheese: Freshly grated parmesan cheese adds a nutty, salty flavor while helping thicken the sauce for a creamy finish.
  • Seasonings: A combination of garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper enhances the Italian-inspired flavors.

HOW TO MAKE CREAMY MARRY ME SAUSAGE GNOCCHI

First, slice chicken sausage into preferred pieces. I recommend slices sausages in half then cut into ½ inch wide pieces to improve cooking time.

Next in a large skillet on medium heat, add 1 tablespoon sun dried tomato oil to pan.

Add chicken sausage to pan and cook until browned. Once the chicken sausage has been cooked, remove from pan and set aside.

Turn heat down to low/medium and then add 2 tablespoon salted butter to pan with minced garlic. Add dry gnochhi to pan and cook for 4-6 minutes until the melted butter has an even coat on the gnocchi.

Once the gnocchi is cooked, reduce the heat to low. Add the cooked sausage back to the pan along with the sun-dried tomatoes, chicken broth, seasonings, tomato paste, and heavy cream. Stir everything together until well combined. Stir until well combined.

Next, add grated parmesan cheese, and chopped spinach. Let it simmer for additional 10 minutes to enhance the flavors.

TIPS AND TRICKS

Substitutions: If Aidells Italian Style Chicken Sausage is unavailable, feel free to substitute it with another chicken sausage variety. For the best flavor, I recommend choosing an Italian-style chicken sausage to maintain the dish's savory, herb-forward profile. If you prefer a lighter sauce, swap the heavy cream for half-and-half.

Leftovers: Store any leftover Marry Me Sausage Gnocchi in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. When reheating, you may need to add a splash of chicken broth or cream to help loosen the sauce and restore its creamy consistency.

Hi! I loved this recipe so much. My kids were also willing to try it. My son didnt like the chicken sausage. Would ground beef or steak or chicken thighs taste good with it too?
