- Beef: Savory, protein-packed ground beef creates the hearty base of this dish. I like using lean ground beef for a rich flavor without excess grease, but you can easily swap for an alternative protein, such as ground chicken or turkey.
- Cheese: Mexican blend cheese melts beautifully over the warm filling and ties everything together with rich flavor.
- Tortillas: Soft tortillas serve as the perfect vessel for all the delicious fillings. Flour tortillas are great for a tender, pliable bite, while corn tortillas offer a more traditional flavor and slightly firmer texture. Low carb tortillas make a great option as well.
- Seasoning: I like using the Kinder's blend fajita seasoning or Siete seasoning for this recipe. However, you can also create your own blend of taco seasoning.
HOW TO MAKE EASY BAKED BEEF TACOS

First, preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Next, in a skillet on medium heat, add olive oil to pan, and thoroughly cook ground beef.
Next, turn heat down to low, add taco seasoning packet, and 2 tablespoon water to pan.
On a 13x9 pan, lay street taco tortillas evenly on pan. Spray with olive oil on both sides to help provide the crisp texture.
Add layer of cheese, then ground beef, and top with cheese for the top layer.

Fold over the top of the tortillas, and add a smaller pan on top of the tacos to help keep them in place. I recommend spraying bottom of smaller pan to help prevent sticking.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, then remove the small pan on top, and bake an additional 2-3 minutes.

TIPS & TRICKS
Tortillas: Street taco size flour tortillas are used in this recipe. However, you can swap for white or yellow corn torillas for a more authentic flavor. Low carb tortillas make a great option for a healthier option.
Leftovers: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat in the microwave until warmed through.
Sides: For these easy baked beef tacos, I love adding my Mexican Rice on the side to really complete this meal. You can also add avocados, cilantro, lime, sour cream, salsa, peppers, and queso.
